Decision Day

The option I would rather choose would be the premiere pro. With magazines like they said in the article you do not have too many options on what to do. You can put pictures and some words, but it won’t be as engaging. In premiere pro you have many options, like for example you can change how the story can layout with the videos. You have many options you can do with the camera angle as well as how well you can tell a story. Words you can only do so much. Not only that videos are more memorable. In the article “Survival of the Fittest: four editors on the future of literary magazines”. It says, in the paragraph that it is hard to say “viable” which means that it is hard to stay workable with their job with just magazines. The obvious reason for this is that magazines are not an eyecatcher and it doesn’t really attract viewers.

Another editing software that is very reliable in premiere pro is the timeline feature. With this another feature in this timeline feature is called the cutting. With this you can cut into another scene like for example if you were talking in a video and you were talking about a story that happened specifically in some part in your forest you can cut straight directly to that part of that forest while engaging your viewer more into your movie. While in the software of InDesign you can make the picture brighter or dimmer, but you can do the same feature while in premiere pro. Not only that but you can put pictures into premiere pro.

Not only can you transport the pictures into premiere pro, but you can animate the pictures in there. While in class we were looking at two different options of magazines and film. The 1-minute clips of movie almost persuaded me into watching the whole movie when I got home (or when I got done with school) just because of how engaging it was. While with magazines it didn’t really attract me into it. You can add effects, filters, words onto the premiere pro while doing the same thing in InDesign but with moving pictures (film). Speaking of words, you can also put captions into your videos so your viewers can have a clearer understanding on what is happening. You can use rulers to keep things aligned and there's another option called graphic panels to where you can add extra effects to attract your viewer in more. Personally for me I would rather pick the film project over the magazine project because I believe I can have more fun with that option while producing the best quality product.
